The ring suction exhaust hood is a high-efficiency capture equipment proposed for the oil mist emission characteristics of the aluminum rolling processing technology, which can greatly reduce the air volume of the system, thereby reducing the energy consumption and carbon emissions. However, there is still a lack of common design methods for this exhaust hood. In this paper, ten aluminum cold rolling mills and exhaust hoods in aluminum rolling workshops are selected as research objects, and the size of pollutant diffusion cross-section at the exhaust hood opening and the capture performance of the exhaust hoods under different rolling mill size combinations are studied. Through regression analysis, the calculation method of the design size of the exhaust hood opening and the design air volume is obtained, which can be used as a reference for engineering designers.
